Is Coral TPU advisable for my use?

I am trying to decide if a Coral TPU will "help" me run Frigate as I start to learn HA and its integrations.

I saw this thread and it worried me that it may not be helpful for someone that's still learning this hardware and software. I was under the impression that the Coral may be the simplest to get running, is that likely to be the case?

a tpu will help with object detection in frigate if frigate is set up in such a way to use it.
