#Tapo P110M matter-only firmware update?

Hello,

I've setup a new Tapo P110M through matter and lo and behold according to TP-Link forum - P110M v1.3.2 firmware update, I need at least this version which was released few months ago to make sure matter 1.3 support energy monitoring.

However, through HASS, it seems firmware is latest 1.0.0
How do I update it only through HASS (or Matter Controller)? I bought the premium pricing "M" model to avoid the Tapo app.

there is only 2 entity with old firmware, which is update and the smart plug.

Vendors can choose to not issue firmware updates through CSA. TP-Link is definitely one of those. You will have to update firmware through the Tapp app.

I just installed these today. Can confirm. Update via Tapo App. Remove. Readd via matter.

Thanks for confirming everyone.

I guess matter just meant better integration through HASS, not complete independence
