i'm not the one who monitors the app etc and is the admin but i'm wondering if there is an app for pc so that when i'm home, i'd be able to have the app open to check the front door camera when i hear the doorbell or check the garage etc

If you go to Settings -> System -> Network, it should give you an IP address you can open on the computer

Under “local network”

You enter the IP address into a web browser. How did you set up your home assistant?

Home Assistant is a webserver that you self-host on your local network. It has an address and port you use to reach it in a browser.

The app on your phone is doing the same thing. Try entering http://homeassistant.local:8123 in the address bar of your browser.
