My companion app on my MacOS (15.6.1 (24G90)) desktop got stuck wildly hammering at an authentication that wasn't working. This would trigger an IP ban on my home network. Companion was just trying to connect, over and over, as fast as possible. I resolved it by deleting and re-adding the connection in the app. I'm documenting here in case anyone else is searching for the problem. (You'll also need to visit the ip-bans.yaml, remove your network, and restart the service.)
