Help me understand temperature sliders / adjustments

I set my humidifier to 30%, it updates in the app (dreo) to 30%, but then Home Assistant changes back to 70% ??? It seems like there are two ranges on this slider and they make no sense. I am just trying to set the humidity level.

Dark blue is range below 53% (current), and light blue is the range above 53%.

it's just a single slider. If it's changing to 70 that's something wrong with the integration I guess
