I've found 3 table lamps that I want to get E12 bulbs for, but am getting stuck. I want to be able to at least dim/turn off by wifi/google home.

any suggestions from folks here

if the cost is way more to get dimmable features, then I can just stick to wifi switches to turn on and off

yeah it looks like you probably have the headroom. so something like this to convert to E14 would give you more options.

my current default would be the ikea bulbs lol

between adaptor and bulb your probably spending more on that than the base mind.

something like THIS is what I was thinking.

#

thats the esphome version but as said above you can get it in other flavours if you prefer

that's not bad at all. would I need HA for this?

#

haven't pulled the trigger on HA yet :/ decided for budget purposes to stick with kasa wirelss light switches and/or wiz bulbs

or the tasmota version i think has some apps peoplee have made too but i dont know too much about tasmota

#

all 3 work with HA though. in general i lean toward recommending esphome version if gunna use home assistant anyway

struggling to find android app for anthom on google

#

they dont have an app

#

the open firmware they use has an app

#

esphome/tasmota/wled are all open firmwares that run on esp microcontrollers

this is really freaking cool

#

seems like a natural next step between wiz and ha, where I can grab these, use their open firmware + google app for now, and then integrate into a future HA system

#

or did i misunderstand?

sturdy temple
#

yeah the WLED one should support what you need for now and be ready for using with HA later

i'm surprised there was nothing else needed like a hub

really neat. a few open questions I have is about the shape of the bulb. the one linked is chanderlier style (?) while these lamps would prob benefit from a more standard shape (assumption which could be wrong)

#

also I see that the bulb states the wattage but I'm used to see lumens + color temp. is lumens not stated for any particular reason?
