Consumption monitoring plugs drop to 0 every now & then

Hello,

New to the community, so sorry if I'm not posting in the correct thread/channel.
Long story-short, I have a HA OS running on a raspberry pi, all good so far, works exactly as intended. Lately, been dipping my toes into the energy and consumption dashboard and gizmos, so I got some Tuya zigbee monitoring plugs throughout the house to start monitoring the consumption.
The issue is that the plugs are dropping to 0 every now & then, as you can see from the history graph attached.

How, indeed the plugs are some really cheap ones, didn't want to go for more expensive ones from the start, until I get more of a grasp of how these things work. Is it because of this, of this is a normal behaviour and there is something I need to change/adjust in my config settings somewhere.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

ditch tuya in the future 😛
but for now you can filter out wild results using a helper. I forget which one (can someone else jump in and fill in that blank?) then use the helpers filtered entity to drive data instead of the device one directly.

Yeah, I know tuya are not the best ones, went with them because they're cheap to start with.
Any brands recommendations for this, if is allowed in here, please?

Been reading at some point about the helpers you mentioned, sounds like I have some more reading/experimenting to do this weekend then 🙂

glad i could give you a place to start. and yeah i get it tuya as a cheap starting point but you end up realising that the time spent to keep stuff running is not worth it
