#Help with Energy Dashboard setup – wrong units and data from Huawei SUN2000

Hello everyone,
I’m having trouble setting up my Energy Dashboard in Home Assistant.

I have a 15 kW solar system made up of three Huawei SUN2000-5KTL-L1 inverters connected in parallel. My goal is to track production with peak and off-peak tariffs.

I’ve followed the latest video guide and documentation, but I’m getting incorrect values — showing MW instead of kW, and even after dividing by 1000, the numbers still don’t look right. I’m also not sure which entities I should be using in the dashboard.

Attached are screenshots of my device data for reference.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Can you be more clear what you're looking to fix

For the grid consumption I got this message shourtly after - to Change the unit

#

After that I start getting this

Why would a Wh sensor be changed to W? They aren't the same thing.

#

Or is that the integration itself that changed the unit?

#

Well the HA proposed the first one, so I click the Fix issue button

#

I've basicaly created Utility meter with sensor Power Meter - Active power

You don't want to use a utility meter on a power sensor.

#

I guess the integration has for some reason changed a previously energy sensor to a power sensor, which is a bit strange, but we can work with that I guess...

Ok, so I guess I've implemened the offpeak trariff wrong

If you want to get energy from power, that's an Integration (Riemann Sum) helper.

#

Once you have the energy sensor (in kWh), then you can generate a utility meter based on that to split tariffs

#

(I think it's a fairly common misconception that utility meter handles power->energy integration, but it does not).

#

Ok, what is this Riemann Sum, Integration/Helper

if this is unclear please look up the difference between power and energy. It is critical you understand this otherwise none of this makes any sense

blazing cliff

Ok I set it up and data look correct but still have some warning in the energy settings page related with my grid import sensor

What I did so far:
Added the Riemann sensor that i found hire with the fillowin settings https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/integration/#energy

I've also added templete helmper to invert the power meter values because is negative value. settings here

Home Assistant

Instructions on how to integrate Integration Sensor into Home Assistant.

Believe this is no my case... i dont have energy export/ returning energy. I Only consume

#

how ever when i consume 5000w the power meter netive sensor shows -5000

blazing cliff
#

This Image here. The image shows
Active power -1609 W and at this time i was pulling 1609 W from the network

tidal fern

so why not just use consumption and exported sensors?

The "Energy Grid Import (off)peak" sensors can't be right as the unit is in Watt which is power, not energy...

But you want to split your PV generated energy into peak and off peak? For that, use a utility helper with tarrifs and an automation to switch them.

Well this is my first solar integration but this is all the data i have from the Power Meter device - ignore the both "Energy Grid ..." Utility meters that were configer wrong at that time

these are the defaut sensors that comes with the power meter
