I have some hue bulbs bolted directly into Home Assistant via ZigBee.
I'm trying to do an effect for a Halloween party where one of them pulses and flickers like that lifex built-in thing.
I thought the bulbs were capable of that? but when I look in the effects section, it just says color loop.
What's the easiest way to go about this?
Also, I'm not sure if this is more of an integrations channel question.

hopefully, when using the hue app, you can create different scenes for your lightning in your app. Making different scenes and saving them will (that's the hopefully part) show them in Home Assistant after delete and new add.
the hue bulbs only have the standard effects on board and you can't (as far as i know) add other effects to the bulb.
so if making scenes, and they are recognized in HA, it would be a question of combining scenes in automation.

Does that work if I don't actually have a hue bridge? I'm just using one of those Zigbee Gateways
