We have 2x Electricity grid providers here in QLD, AU (Ergon & Energex) which both have a gauge on their website showing the electricity demand for QLD... I'm curious to know how I can get this gauge to show up on my dashboard in real
time?

The OpenNEM custom integration will give you a consolidated demand figure for Queensland. Also the current NEM wholesale price (when it isn't broken).
It's not exactly what you're asking for, but it's close.
Also, just for interests sake: Ergon, Energex and PowerLink are part of the one organisation - Energy Queensland. Traditionally, Ergon covered Regional QLD, Energex was SEQ, and PowerLink was the backbone trunk infrastructure owner and operator. They still largely exist in their previous forms under the EQ banner though.
Thanks @violet tusk ... yeah, I was working for Stanwell back in the day and was a big part of the Stanwell and Tarong Energy merger back in 2011 and had to bring a lot of the I.T. systems together... that was a pretty big project back then under the Bligh government
Preaching to the converted 😂
I’m in govt and I’ve had a lot of dealings with the many faces of EQ.
@violet tusk Just installed that add-on and it doesn't give much in terms of Demand from the Grid, just a "Genvsdemand" attribute even though on the github page it says that there's a attribute for "demand"
kind of sucks that I can't define it down to something like Energex since that's the power source I'm coming from
I assumed the main entity value was demand.
Can you derive demand from any of those attributes using a template sensor?
I can only see Genvsdemand that matches the main entity number
