Hi,

I'm using the KNX Integration and the KNXD-Addon to use a locally attached USB-KNX gateway.
It successfully worked for month but now it just got stuck and KNX cannot communicate on the bus anymore.

dmesg shows some USB enumeration errors when the device is plugged in (image attached)
Any advice how to track the issue down?

Thanks!

Could this be power related > not enough amps or failing power supply? Try different usb cable and/or try different usb port? Otherwise it may indicating hardware faillure.

try connecting the usb-gateway to a powered usb-hub with enough amps (minimum 3A)

Thanks, I checked the USB gateway with my PC. Indeed there was also a problem detecting the device. Some shaking and slapping on the gateways solved the issue 🫣 .
I'll check the wiring on the KNX bus...

Do yourself a favor and get a proper Knx IP Gateway. Enertex, Weinzierl or Gira. It's 150€ new (250 if you need a router) and you can simultaneously have HA, ETS and others connected with that. 😉

note that slapping and shaking can harm your gateway and make it pooofff
