Is there a preference to one over the other? I was just going to disable the switch. but wasn't sure the implications. Thanks!

Doesn't look like there should be a light entity, it's just an on/off switch. Can you post the Device Diagnostic file?

You can ignore/disable the light. That's a bug.

You might try a re-interview and see if it gets removed. I'm pretty sure that most actuators (e.g. switches, etc.) should have Basic CC mapped to the switch, and Z-Wave JS usually detects that and hides the Basic values.
