There's no migration possible because Sonoff is Zigbee and the ZWA-2 is Z-Wave.

Oh, my fault!

#

I am a bit tired of Sonoff sensors, what is the best Z-Wave alternative?

what sensors do you need?

i guess it depends on what zigbee hardware you aquired. A good zigbee dongle with good zigbee end devices in a good config would work reliable and good..

lot of goods here

#

but specify please as we would like to help you here 😉

#

if i look into z-wave and into zigbee, i see less few issues with zigbee though to be honest.

Okay... Let me explain, may be I am fully off of what is possible... I want sensors like temperature and humidity, that just work. I cannot rely on systems that bind sensors to a specific bridge. I have a Sonoff Dnogle Plus and a ZB Bridge in the same location. But the sensors are bound to the Bridge. But I have bad Wifi in the same location. So if the bridge loses contact to WiFi, the sensors are offline. If I cut power to the bridge, the sensors stay offline even the USB Dongle Plus is still connected to the server and working fine.

That is what I call unreliable. I live in a house where I try to overcome 1930 building and 1950 electrical installation by modern options. But I live with a larger elderly family in the same house. So I cannot place a hub with it's USB PSU in a strategic nice place, as it will be removed one day, because of the vacuum, charging the hearin aids or whatever reason why that wall outlet was better then any other

you can have a look at yolink, they have a hub, you can connect it with a cable and it can do long distance. so you can dump the hub everywhere, even in the barn as long there is a network cable and there is a ha integration for it.

I was really impressed by the ZAH-2 and its matched antenna. So I hoped for Z-wave devices.

using a smlight slzb-06 zigbee coordinator powered over PoE could be a good solution for zigbee/matter too:

#

if you have the chance to avoid third party hubs using zigbee in ha only, i would go for that..

I am fine with doing one system only. However I seem to be stuck a bit earlier... I added an older SNZB-02 that worked for a week and when I finalized my tests around Better Thermostat, if just worked half a day until the heating cycle was finished and 3h later it failed. Changing the battery, removing re-adding, nothing worked. Adding it to the ZB Bridge didn't work. So I ordered the modern SNZB-02D variant, came today. Couldn't find any way to add these with the USB Plus Stick, so I plugged the ZB Bridge again. In the eWeLink App the SNZB-02D is recognized and added. Perfect. I "Installed" another sensor in the Sonoff integration in HA, it was recognized, perfect.
Then I added the second SNZB-02D that came today and it is recognized and shown in the eWeLink app, but I can do, what I want, it does not show up in the Sonoff integration.
