Hi, I have a HomeAssistant voice assistant. I had to reset it to factory settings by holding the button. It reset, but how do I add it now? HomeAssistant doesn't show a new device.

remove voicePE from HA (if present) then reboot VoicePE and reboot HA. Usually it will pop up as discovered device again.

I removed the device from esphome integration and esphome builder

Okay, wait. I try

#

And with it added to EspHome Builder, can I add any triggers to the EspHome automation? For example, to control the LEDs in a room relative to the assistant?

❤️ Thanks

if you have the device up&running, you could add the entities you want to be control by voice by exposing them to your assistant.

trim spire
#

Because I currently have automations done for entities

Good to hear it's working!

#

Note that you have to expose the entities to the assistant

What I mean is, I want to mount this assistant in the ceiling. I'll print a slightly different housing and mount it in the middle of the room, as it has good microphones. I'll connect the speakers via a jack input. I also have addressable LEDs connected after integrating WLEDs, and I'd like to control what the assistant is doing: whether it's listening, responding, thinking, or if there's an error.

That should be doable, yes. But that would be an #1284966540617449515 thing (new thread) or, if no futher questions you may close this thread as resolved by checking the resolved box.
