Hey there, I am looking for a way to start the timer once a condition comes true (valuexy greater than 100) and the time is being paused once valuexy is below 100 again.
Basically a simple way to track the Runtime of a device.
Reset at 0 am.
How can I realize that?

You can do that with a Template binary sensor Helper and a sensor from the History Stats integration.

I got the binary sensor to work but the history stats one wont work. It is created and refered to the binary one but it just doesnt count. Always at 0 hours.

There's not much we can tell you if you don't share how you set up the sensor.

just a hint, if its an automation, theres top right corner, the "mode".... so it was on the old "version" so you can start it again and again, or add it to another one....
should be "Change Mode"
maybe its over engeneering, to make an automation just for a counter 😄 but its "hidden" for me, i didnt even know that this exists
maybe someone can show him a screenshot with english translation...and the "modes"
