Fully Kiosk free or alternative?

I have a question about using Fully Kiosk. I'm completely new and chatgpt said to use the Fully Kiosk app, but I noticed that you have to pay for it. Is there a free alternative or some other way to get the watermark removed?

Hi, yes there is, allthough i must say that the fully kiosk app works perfectly and can be integrated in HA (one time payment for 1 license) you could have a google search for "kiosk mode" or the "android wallpanel" app. What are you trying to achieve? just connection to home assistant or displaying a dedicated dashboard?

and/or hide stuff that you dont want to be looked at or altered by other users?

Thank you for your reply! To be honest I don't even really know yet, I really just started and set up the system. I had an old tablet (Galaxy S2) which I wanted to use as a screen for now so I installed Fully Kiosk on there. I followed some steps through chatgpt and had to activate some PLUS options, so now I have 2 big watermarks on my screen

Eventually I would like to make something like this, but that's going to take me some time:

well it's absolutely possible to do something like that with mentioned stuff.

i run fully kiosk licensed and kiosk mode combination for extra options to hide stuff

and the dash is just creativity, just don't overdo it 😉

Dash has to be informative and intuitive to handle all daily basic stuff like light, weather, calendar etc

Yes I totally agree, but it's also cool when it looks nice haha. But you would say I can do this with the free version of Kiosk?

Normally I'm fine with paying for a plus version, but it's just I don't know if we are really going to like all this so I don't want to spend too much money on it yet

limited since you do not have all the paid stuff and will have a watermark (and subscription nags sometimes)

it's a one time payment only and did not regret it, a lot of sensors can be exposed into ha making it easy to set automations and stuff for tablet

It's not an option to just download home assistant app on the tablet and use that as a dashboard?

i haven't tried wallpaper android, but that could be a fre option. I also dont know for sure if it would be enough to work with the companion app in kiosk mode (Fully Kiosk and Kiosk Mode are not the same!!)

tbh, fully kiosk is worth the money IMO.
