Said Outlet was connected to my HA before perfectly fine, other outlets (P110 for example) are still perfectly connected fine
I can turn on the outlet via the native tapo app on my cellphone, so the outlet is not defective!
home assistant os for some reason fails to connect to this outlet for some strange reason without any detailed error message and I do not know how to fix
and yes I have removed and tried to re-add itg. home assistant os fails.
and yes I have already changed my password, but my password and email is 10000000,8% correct (that includes case sensitive)
everything is up to date too, yes everything!

errors:
Device 192.168.178.108 responded with 403 to handshake1 possible
try_connect_all failed

fixed it by enabling third party everything in "me" in the phone app.

any suggestion for simple reliable possibly open source alternatives that have controls such as:
switching on/off
power usage in watts
that do not require additional radio hardware
that connect via wifi

whilst not opensource, a good go to is shelly they can work totally offline, you don't even need their app to provision them. they are also working with the project and have some devices in the "works with home assistant" program (although they are mostly the zwave ones but it lends to credability)
they also recently released a EU powerstrip as part of their gen4 lineup.

alternatively for opensource stuff you can look for devices that run ESPHome examples: Athom / LocalBytes

technically shelly devices can have esphome flashed but there isn't really much point.
you can also look in the ESPHome device database for some other ideas

there's also devices running tasmota but I tend to prefer esphome
