My Nabu Casa Subscription Service ran out yesterday. I have Home Assistant set up, to access it externally via NGINX reverse proxy.
Both companion apps (Android and iOS) still work to access the dashboard. However the iOS app stopped reporting its sensor values including the gps location, which I have been using for various automations.

I already tried to delete and reinstall the app on the iPhone.

Did you try to reboot your Home assistant instance? I had the same yesterday it seems that HA Cloud got disconnected for some reason and the only thing that fixed the issue for me was rebooting my HA instance.

Yes I did that yesterday and today after updating.

Unfortunately I lost my Apple Watch Complications, when reinstalling the app 😩

It seems the app is still trying to connect via nabu casa

But the server external url has been updated to my DNS service…

Any suggestions how to correct this? Will resetting the app do some harm, like duplicate entities with new names?

Look at the companion app settings as it has fields for both internal and external url's - ensure these are set correctly.

Force close the App. Go to your home assistant via the browser and look for the “mobile_app” integration. Delete your devices entry from there.

Open the app again, it should fix the issue.
