I get notifications that some SmartThings switches will be deprecated.

This stops working in version 2025.10.0. Please address before upgrading.

The switch switch.samsung_8_series_65 is deprecated and a media player entity has been added to replace it.

Is it possible to have these kept functioning? The media player entities do not work, and I have automations using the switches. Otherwise I am stuck not upgrading to any of the new HA versions.

no, it seems you are trying to solve the wrong problem, you are better off finding a solution for your problem and getting the new entities to work the way you need to.

you should post the the issue that you are having with the new entity setup instead and ask for help getting it working.

Thanks. You are right.

The issue is with the new Media Player entities. They do not reflect the on/off state of the Samsung TVs. Additionally, the state will flip intermittently from on/off even though no action is taken on my part. This causes my soundbar automations to trigger back and forth for no reason.
