I have 4 light bulbs, originally Tuya-type. Very old had esp boards in them. I had a friend wire up the marked solder pads, long enough to flash Tasmota on them. they work fine now, but I'm thinking of moving to ESPHome. Is it feasible to convert OTA? I lost contact with that particular friend, and I can't solder for anything. I might be able to hire someone to help me however.

yes, you can build a ESPHome firmware package for the device then upload it to tasmota OTA there is some documentation here - https://esphome.io/guides/migrate_sonoff_tasmota/
