#Ikea STYRBAR stole my spotlights

Hi,

I have rather small zigbee network, and I have some existing Ikea products in it. Now I bought second IKEA STYRBAR light switch and was going to add it to ZHA.

First of all tried to add it through another zigbee device, but pressing the pairing button did nothing - I thought I got broken device.

Next I brought it next to my coordinator and pressed the pairing button, and suddently the switch started to blink the communication light AND my spotlights in the room started to blink like crazy and they got disconnected from the zigbee network?!?! Unfortunately they were the main route from the coordinator to rest of the zigbee network, so now my network is a bit unstable.

However, in addition that the spot lights got disconnected to rest of the zigbee network, the ikea switch still does not control them. I cannot get them into pairing mode, so they are currently quite useless.

Does anybody have any tips what to do next? I'm a bit afraid to test with STYRBAR switch anymore so that it does not break rest of my network as well.

And any tips what to do with these spotlights, which identify themselves as AwoX TLSR82xx device.

Thanks!

I guess it does not help to return HA to any backup, as the pairing information is stored to device itself? Any idea how to get such spot lights into pairing mode or to be reset completely?

But it worked!!? Awesome. 😄

Now question is just what to do with those ikea switches..

Okay figured it out. Somebody had written in some forum that "Do not follow the manual and press pairing button for 10 seconds!"

Instead I had to press pairing button 4 times during 5 seconds to get it into pairing mode.

I think this 10 second functionality just pairs the switch to random nearest bulb?

Anyway, alles gut now, resolved.
