#Issue with code editor after 2025.10.2 core update

After updating to HA core 2025.10.2, the code editor completely lost functionality. Theres no syntax highlighting, no autocomplete, and whole script is white.
I'm using hacs with mushroom addon.

I already tried:

  • Clearing browser cache (complete)
  • Testing on firefox, edge, chrome
  • Rebooting system multiple times
  • Disabling all hacs addons
  • Used a new dashboard (issue is whole code editor)

Does anyone else have this issue too or does anyone have a solution for it?

Can you share some hardware specs and paste supervisor and host logs?

Can you also add some screenshots so we can see what you're seeing?

Hardware: Raspberry Pi 5 (8 gb ram) & Samsung microsd
Core: 2025.10.2
Supervisor: 2025.10.0
OS: 16.2
Frontend: 20251001.2

This only occurred after updating core and mushroom. I have absolutely no idea why

No, kidding. But be aware that an sd card will corrupt in a year time more or less. Even the pro ones. Using USB stick would give you about a day before dying, only ssd or nvme will serve you right over a longer period of time.

This is not accurate. I've been running on the same SD card in a Pi for nearly 5 years. Yes, they're prone to failure. Yes, I have a backup plan in place. Do I expect it to fail at some point? Of course. Is an SSD more reliable/faster/etc? Sure. Running on an SD card is fine.
