I keep on seeing "unavailable" status for entities on my alexa devices. Is this normal?

This fault showed up at the start of the month, it is due to Amazon making a change to their API (and not telling anyone; sneaky!) There is a fix in 2025.10.2 which has just released. I’ve done the update but have yet to test fully.

Have been working this morning to test the ‘Alexa Devices’ integration and it is fully working, no sign of the intermittent unavailable fault.
Mad props to @cursive field for all his work developing this integration and constantly fixing Amazon’s chaos!

This has nothing do to with device availability, those are refering to sensors

got it. Thanks. The integration crashed after the 2025.10.2 update. All sensors and actions are not being provided by the integration anymore. I re-authenticated (successfully) but all devices' actions and sensors are gone. Well, that's the log. I will remove the integration and try again later.

BTW, it is the same error.

Restored the backup from before the update. The integration was still not working. Updated to 2025.10.2 again. Now it's working, but sensors are still unavailable.

Sensors API keeps changing. This is why we decoupled them from the rest; at least notifications will always work that way

@cursive field currently both alexa core integration aswell ass the mediaplayer integration from hacs don't work for me... core breaks after a few hours (also i cannot do notifications anymore), media player integration doesnt even authenticate. i am on most recent versions.

you need to wait for 2025.10.4 or the new beta in HACS we are going to release

alexa / amazon had server issues today, maybe a reboot of haos could help a bit.
