Hey all, I'm looking for a minisplit air conditioner that has good compatibility with homeassistant. I see this post from the subreddit but it's from 3 years ago. Does anyone have any more recent recommendations?

Some of the logging output is in French, but that shouldn't be a big deal. I am using an M5stack Atom, which is enclosed in plastic. A custom 4-pin to 5-pin cable can be obtained or made to connect it to the Mini split.

I'm not sure. Mine was just installed in new construction like 3 months ago. Mine is ducted however. Not the kind you're looking for. One unit outside, and another in the attic.

The project was intended for use with a Mini split though.

Im not sure if thats what you Are looking for, but Maybe have a look at Midea PortaSplit.. Its the only mobile AC, which is real
„split“ and it works flawlessly both in cooling (12.000 BTU!!!) and as a HA device with Integration „Midea AC LAN“. Tbh its not really mini but you can use it everywhere or disassemble within seconds. This thing literally changed my life for the better, No more sweaty balls in summer living in 3rd floor under the roof
