Honest feedback here folks. With everything getting more automated. Control of our smart home seems like more of an illusion. I have 5 google homes displays, several mini's, and more IoT displays in general than I can count. (I am a IoT enthusiast) But when everyting moves into that more automated space, what happens if the servers that connect the networks that power our devices, go offline?

I'm just getting started but wherever possible I want manual fallback switches/thermostats and no external internet dependencies. If internet drops things should still work.
What I need to figure out is if my HA VM or server lockup/breaks can I get it to auto restart
