Slow Loading on Android Devices and Mobile Networks

Hello,

I'm having an issue where:

1. On my Wifi network, the app loads instantly on both PC and mobiles.
2. On mobile network on my Android Pixel 8 Pro, I get a black screen with a blue loading symbol for 10-15 seconds, then it loads another loading screen with the Home Assistant logo for ~2-4 seconds, then everything appears and works quickly.

If anyone has any ideas on how to resolve this, I would be really grateful - Google are hiking the monthly tier that I'm on by over %100, so I'm diving into the world of Home Assistant to get away from the disgusting greed of Google.

Which app version are you using? There have been several improvements to first time loading in recent releases.
You can find the version in Settings > Companion-App > scroll to the bottom > App-Version

The latest version on play store should be 2025.9.2
You can also try manually updating by downloading the APK on github.
I'm running the latest pre-release 10.1 without issues but I'd recommend trying the latest stable ver. 9.2 first.
