Starting with 2025.10 - it seems ZHA tries to discover Zigbee adapters on the local network. This discovry seems to prevent Zigbee2MQTT from connecting to the adapter.

There are additional details in this thread on GitHub:

https://github.com/Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt/issues/28861

I had to restore 2025.9.3 from backup (and that was the only version change I made) and now things work again, but I'm stuck on that version until this issue is addressed.

This happened even after I clicked "Ignore" on the discovered adapter.

What happened? Installation was working fine but stoped giving data tried to restart (and reinstall) logs: 00:56:04] INFO: Preparing to start... [00:56:04] INFO: Socat not enabled [00:56:05] INFO: ...

Tell it to ignore it. That's what I did when it popped up...

We'll see if mine flakes out as well.

I did, but that did not fix the issue.

I suspect whatever does the discovery on the network (and leads to this issue) continues even if I ask to ignore the discovered device.

Well my stuff is still all working after clicking ignore on that.

It didn't stop working immediately, not sure what triggered it (machine reboot? not sure)

@daring ruin do you also have the silicon labs multiprotocol installed as add-on?

Hmm i upgraded again and clicked ignore again and haven’t reproduced the issue. Weird.

This thread helped. I dumbly was updating stuff without looking (adding smart fan switches), and hit the update on the SLZB-06, and completely lost connection. Restored to a backup from 14 hours ago, and after reconnecting the new ones, all is well.
