#The popular Z-Wave locks are reviewed as unreliable. What do your recommend for a z-wave/Plus lock?

The main ones that keep coming up are the Schlage Connect Z-Wave plus and the Yale Assure 2 Lock. But both seem to be reviewed horribly, with the Schlage consistently having comments that this specific Z-wave version seems to fail.

I've recently come across a seemingly unknown Philips lock: Philips 800 Series Z-Wave Long Range Door Lock DDL240X-15HZW

Which Z-wave locks have been reliable for you?

I have several Yale zwave locks and one Schlage. They all seem quite reliable in my experience. Battery life is my only complaint. I have to change batteries every 90 days or so.

(using standard Zwave)

I think the type of battery matters. And isn't zwave plus supposed to be more battery efficient?

I've had the Yale Assure 2 for somewhere around 24 months. Its been a fantastic lock. I put some IKEA rechargeable batteries in it, and have to swap them about every 6 months.

It depends on how strong your zwave mesh is too

I got it installed finally. It is nice looking. But still need to test automations. Comes with door open close sensor as well which was a nice surprise

I have this Phillips z wave lr lock and honestly it's been reliable and snappy as hell

I've had mine for about 5 months and have an automation set up with it. Haven't had dropouts

Fingerprint scanner is also instant and reliable. Had a eufy before and I wouldn't suggest that thing even to my enemies

I use a Yale YRD 256 with Zwave module. works great for me, no issues to speak off, gets weak bolt action at 25% battery life in alkalines, so I swap them at that point.
