My newest idea is to set up my home assistant using matter / thread. I want to start with Sonoff Smart roller shutter switch because it creates a mesh over the whole house (when installed in every shutter switch). According to the website the can handle home assistant.
I started the matter integration in my home assistant. Do I need an external device? A controller (hub? I don't even know the terminology) for threads?
I have home assistant in a proxmox VE in a pc. I live in Germany.
Is there a step by step recipe on how to get started?

What is the module reference number?
Your setup is not supported for Matter.
The Mini-RBS does not mesh as it is just Matter over wifi. Sonoff does have a Mini-ZBRBS that's Zigbee. It has no thread devices yet.
The Mini-RBS does work fine with HA. You just need the Matter integration and a Matter Server. The server can be the Matter Server addon if you run HA OS. Besides that you need a wifi netwerk, nothing else.
Only thing I noticed, the calibration option isn't available in HA. You need the eWeLink app for that.
Only the automatic calibration or also the manual calibration? I need calibration 'cause I want to use percentage control.
Yes, I suspected it doesn't use thread.
But once I calibrated it by using the ewelink app, it will be able to do percentage control when I set up scenarios in HA?
It's been a month ago but I think there is no manual calibration, only auto. That you need to do in the eWeLink app. After that, you can add it to HA as well (multi fabric) and have full percentage controle there.
