Of course! HomeAssistant does support Alexa and other voice hardware, NabuCasa even ships their own one.
You should get Alexa up and running with:
https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/alexa.smart_home/
If you are New to HA you should test the Cloud setup first and then venture into local setup if you like.
I tried it with the cloud! I managed to link the Alexa app to Home Assistant. But now I'm wondering how the following works.
For example, I want to say “Lower the blinds” to Alexa in the living room. And since the command was given via Alexa in the living room, only the blinds in the living room should be lowered.
How exactly do I do that? Do I just have to create a scene in HA that raises and lowers the blinds and then share the scene with the Alexa app? Then create a new scene in the Alexa app for the Alexa in the living room with the export from HA?
Or is there a simpler option, or is the above approach even correct?
