Hi, sorry to bother you guys with such a trivial question, but I'm running out of ideas and I'm almost certain I'm doing something wrong. Please take a look at the attached screenshots. I'm getting tons of false car detections from Frigate in HA. I've added an object detection mask, and I've also tried using a motion mask + object mask, but for some reason Frigate still detects a car and is more than 70% sure it's a car... Is there anything I can do to fine-tune this properly?

If that will help: Object lifecycle is always near the bottom of the frame.

Make sure your mask covers the bottom center. Also, if you're using Frigate+, mark this as a false positive many times, ideally with some true positives in the frame as well.

Thanks! I appriciate your help. I've played with zones, increased the mask and also added parameters for minimal object size etc, maybe that will help. But, to be hones, what frigate is using of object detection? GPT estimate that on this picture the chance that there is a car is under 1%. For frigate is 74%. Sorry to say that but whatever frigate is using simply sucks nowadays. I have some decent cpu, gpu, google coral and what I'm getting is 74% that this pile of trash is a car 😄 Also, no Frigate+. 🙁

You're using a COCO model with the coral, which is not trained on security camera images, and is an older and small mobiledet model.
As you noted, using a model with more accurate training data like Frigate+ will make a big difference. Using a larger model also makes a big difference.
Frigate supports a wide variety of models and hardware, larger models that run on integrated intel GPUs such as YOLOv9 are considerably more accurate. The coral is not capable of running these models.

Thx, I'm reading about YOLOv9, or maybe I will give Frigate+ a try. It's not super expensive.
