#Auto Unlock door

you could do that with doorlock triggered by proximity detector/human presence detector
Couple of bugs from AliBahBah for the sensor, then choose the appropriat lock for your door (check ha compatibility)
if its your home, and you're connected to wifi, then open lock. Else do not open lock. So if detector triggers, it will look if you are connected to home wifi, if yes then open lock.
for the detector you can set minimum and maximum ranges for small/medium/big objects. Can be finetuned perfectly.
And go for zigbee stuff, not wifi..
you can do this with wifi if you have the opnsense integration etc, just need to disable mac randomization on the devices
would not recommend using something totally automatic for any front doors
yep, look for a lock with backup key..
yeah, this is not really what I'm looking for. I know I can unlock front door when I arrive. Homekit does that. We have a pool house that needs to stay locked but when me or my wife approach the door I would like it to unlock.
That way everybody can enter your home when you're home as well.
You're asking for a lot there. One way would be a camera with something monitoring it for facial recognition but that's not very secure. They get people mixed up on accident and they're pretty easy to trick.
Yeah I just bought an aqara u100 with home key support
A lock that uses the same chip in an AirTag would work good
there would be some ways around to prevent that, but generally you're right.
