Can someone please walk me through how to get the local key? All the guides on it are basically deprecated and anyone whose done it recently I'd really appreciate your input

have you checked tuya developer site?

yes, and the login for my tuya and smart life app are different than the dev site and i cant figure out how to add my devices from those apps

#

this is for localtuya btw

#

I just need the device local key and i heard they stopped providing those for "safety"

gonna check

#

ran into api error lol, check whitelisted ip in tuya dev site.

#

added new wan ip in tuya dev site / project >whitelisted cloud ip access > add correct wan ip

#

then you can run a device query from dev site and get local key. You would sort the "login"thing first though 😉

I got it done

compact lantern
#

worth mentioning, if using the local tuya integration and want to connect to tuya cloud api, it will fail if you enabled ipv6 on haos. tuya+ipv6=nono

I used tuya-cli on well... cli and got it
