Hello,
1/
I’ve been using Home Assistant for several years, and recently I tried to troubleshoot a fail2ban issue that I thought was related to my iPhone. I later realized it wasn’t related to Home Assistant. However, I had already logged out of the Home Assistant iOS app, and now I want to reconnect it.
When I enter my Home Assistant URL, I get stuck on the screen showing the external URL. Tapping the “Connect” button multiple times doesn’t do anything—there’s no response at all (see the screenshot). I don’t get any error message either. This happens when I’m using mobile data.
I should mention that my Home Assistant domain name works perfectly in a browser: I can access the site and log in without issue.
What could be causing this? How can I reconnect to Home Assistant through the iOS app?
PS: I’m running iOS 26.

I also tried while connected to my home Wi-Fi, and in that case the iOS app correctly detects my HA server. But again, I can’t move past the connect screen just by tapping the button once. Strangely, I discovered that if I tap the button more than 10 times per second, then the login page eventually appears.

I tested once more using mobile data, and the same behavior occurs: I need to tap the button rapidly (10+ times per second) to get past the connect screen and reach the login page.
Could this be a compatibility issue with iOS 26? I don’t remember ever having to do this when I first started using the Home Assistant app years ago.
Thanks for your help!
