What microphones do yall use for voice assistants? Doesnt matter if its usb or just a component, Im unsure what to buy bc some mics tend to not record sound thats far away but others record to much background noise like tvs

voice isolation would be a software thing, so I don't know how much the microphone hardware itself is going to aid in that. I can't remember the terminology for mics that don't require the input to be so close to the mic but it may be condensor? Or that may be the opposite, lol.
considering what the little mics in something like a google home can receive, I'd think anything over your standard cheapo desktop mic would be overkill.
