I have an older Amazon Kindle Fire 5th Gen Model SV98LN FireOS 5.7.0.0
I successfully installed the Google Play store and the supporting apps to get it working for other apps.
I found and installed the HA app (ver.2025.8.7) and it appears to install fine.
But I am unable to complete the setup on the app.
It opens and asks for my connection URL
it accepts it but then 'freezes' on the next screen.
If i force stop the app and restart it, I have to re-enter the URL information, so it clearly isn't saving it.
the tablet is small and light and keeps a charge for days, I'd really like to use it as a HA 'remote' around the house.
Is this device just too old or is there something else I can try?
