Ok. Show me an area sub view with a temperature that’s missing from climate sub view
I’m interested in the top of the subview. The badges
This :
Hahahaah
It’s on main level
Can youuuu double check for me 🤣
Because I found something on my instance
I do not see my garden because the area is outside of every floor
Which is a bug.
Uuuuuurg
Intense thinking again
Yo !
I don’t know 🤣
So I’ll ping the master
@hollow quiver
I’m sure it will get fixed. I do love the new home dashboard! So great just like the area one
hahahah Im also reading with intense thinking eyes
@hollow quiver this case is bizarre.
@regal crane has many areas, they seem to be all correctly configured, have related sensors and stuff.
The climate subview is like … empty. 2 areas
Lights and media players are all full and accurate. Only climate.
Wait do we only show area in climate if you have at least a climate ?
No. No
First area has a window
WTF is going on 🤣
If you open the browser developer console, are there any errors in there?
Realisation: it cannot be a config issue. It’s a bug
The summary card mention a range of 66-105 degrees
You don’t reach that range on the subview
Something’s preventing that sub view to load
I will check tomorrow. Can you open an issue on GitHub? No need for a big description. It’s only a reminder
Hi. 👋🏼 I also saw this in the beta. Could not yet figure out what the cause is. But in my case some floors and some areas of a floor are not displayed and hence the climates or sensors are missing.
Helped someone the other day who still had some areas that had something like floor: __ADD_NEW__ assigned, which I'm pretty sure came from an old bug?
Could be some issue like that lingering throwing things off.
So an area might be assigned to a floor that don't exist...
I also still have a blank Summary sub-view but work kept me from participating in this conversation today. I'll check all of the above mentioned points in a bit and see if I can add anything to this conversation.
https://github.com/home-assistant/frontend/issues/26859 issue has been created
Must have at least a climate, a window, or a cover (the temperature sensor itself doesn't qualify).
Where and how are 'climate's defined?
cache issue?
That’s a weird business rule (that I don’t understand)
Is see a temperature range on the climate summary card that includes temperatures from areas that are not shown on the climate overview page. However, I can confirm that in my case those floors and areas are not shown that do not have a climate or window
I see the same I was going to mention that
We’re summarising something different than what’s on the sub view
I open a PR to fix the issue : https://github.com/home-assistant/frontend/pull/26863
Areas with sensor only will also be displayed. It was not a rule, it was a bug 😅
Thanks but I don't speak Python 😕 , that did lead me to discover that it's an entity domain/integration though. I had simply not come across it before.
