zigbee2mqtt: is it possible to create a group of end devices like presence sensors ?

I wish to have a group of presence sensors in order to use the whole group state to control a lights group.
It seems that is not possible to create actually a group of end devices. When I try to add an end devices to a group , I got the notification that the device is added to the group but the group stay empty and I don't receive any error at all.

So is it possible to create a group of end devices ?

Try creating a helper entity instead of using z2m? I’ve used groups in ZHA for lights which work well but tend to stick to helpers for sensor groups.
