Hi, I have solar panels and a battery at home which I can monitor via the Fronius integration very well, but I have always wanted to use the Energy Dashboard in Home Assistant, which I haven’t been able to do. I always ran into issues — at first, the devices simply didn’t show up in the dropdown because they were in W instead of Wh, so I made a helper for all of them, but it’s just wrong.
#Energy Dashboard is a mess / wrong

Yeah that doesn't work. You need to lookup the difference between power (kW) and energy (kWh). Use this helper to convert your power sensors https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/integration/#energy
oh okay i will look into that, ty
Changing W in Wh is like changing km/h into km. Just changing the unit does not make any sense.
Is all coming from Fronius or do you use other integrations as well?
only fronius and i get that part with the units
it currently looks likethis, better but still wrong
the real power is currently only at 1.6 kW
and usage 140w
and batteriy is at 98.9%
this graph doesnt show power
notice how it says kWh and not kW?
yeah sri

Hello there 👋 A few days ago I forked the original Power Flow Card and I’ve done quite some work on it since then: Display Individual Power Entities - You can now display individual power entities on the card, making it easier to track specific devices or circuits in your home. Customize Individual Entities’ Label, Icon and Co...
Also have a look at the Fronius integration documentation for how to correctly configure the energy helpers when the system has a battery.
