I recently re-flashed my HA Voice as the latest ESPHome seems to have broken hidden wifi networks. I made the configuration change (added fast_connect: true), downloaded the project, and flashed through web esphome. The install says successful, but now the device never boots/lights up. When i plug it back into a USB data cable, I hear the windows "disconnect" sound on repeat every 3 seconds.

try putting it into bootloader mode as described HERE
this may keep it connected and allow you to flash it

had no idea that was an option. looks like im behind on my documentation knowledge.
as a result of this, just discovered how i got myself into this:
- when i downloaded the project i clicked OTA Format instead of Factory Format
order restored. i appreciate your help @drifting violet!
