#Best way to alert about opened door at night?

I got some door sensors, some for my kids bedroom doors, some for the house front and back doors, and I am wanting to figure out what would be the best way to be notified about an opening at night?

I know I can easily have HA send my phone a notification of the change of state, but I am wanting something that could wake me up, but not like an alarm.

I saw something about have a Google Home speaker use TTS to announce something. I am thinking that at a mild volume might be best if I can figure it out.

Any other ideas?

dont know ha is recognizing tthe google speaker out of the box. But you can install music assistant add-on, this will expose your player as MediaSpeaker. Then you can use automation to send text or sounds to google speaker

and set volume in automation also.

can be done, you do not perse need cloud, but cloud TTS will run much smoother.

Thanks I will give it a try. Was planning on subscribing to nabu cloud anyways to support and get google home app integration.

I use RGB lights. Works well if you have ambient lights such as floor lamps if you use ceiling lights most of the time to something like the Aqara T1 which has an RGB strip on the outside. Automations check at strategic times like when the alarm is turned on and use RGB colours to tell us if something is open like the shed door.
