Respeaker Lite
Not tried that one, looks like a nice kit
It is. With the repo https://github.com/formatBCE/Respeaker-Lite-ESPHome-integration it's feature-paired with Voice PE.
Before I order 6 lol they will work as a multitool setup from what I’m reading ?
What's multitool?
They will work with anything that official Voice PE works with. But make sure you will be able to solder speakers and build enclosure your self - it's just the board with mics, buttons and DAC. 🙂
Multi room sorry bloody auto correct
No, I don't think so. No esp32s3 based satellites can do multiroom audio at the moment. You need Sonos or Snapcast...
That's fine as long as I can have multiple in a project can deal with that
Future Proof Homes Satellite 1 has a beta version with Snapcast support. I have this beta version running, but I have not tried the Snapcast feature yet. https://github.com/FutureProofHomes/Satellite1-ESPHome/releases/tag/v0.1.3-beta.0
Also I believe NabuCasa team is working with Music Assistant team on their own sync protocol as we speak. 🙂
As much as I love the satellite 1 idea I feel it’s a bit pricey for what your getting. May not be a popular opinion but after reading through it just can’t warrant that cost for 6 rooms 😅
Yeah it's a bit on premium side. I love the idea, and Brad is really visionary and cool guy. I'm waiting to see their Nexus with local AI - that thing can change the way we do smart home. 🙂
Yeahhh I may get one for the office and bedroom just maybe have it feed into the in ceiling speaker amp …. See how that is … what’s the audio quality like do you know ?
