im starting over and like to get something more powerful without it drawing a bunch of energy if its not necessary. the reason to upgrade from my nuc and rpi5 is that i have a lot of 4k cameras live streaming (14-16 cameras when its done) with the latest cameras its a bit slow, il like to use sfp+ and im not going to run HA in a VM, only HA op so the hardware neds to be supported by HA. im going to use z-wave so if its mounted in the rack il extend a usb cable for the zwa-2 or setup a external rpi5 for the z-wave stuff. it would be nice if it suport ipmi. any one that can recement mobo,cpu,ram,psu and 19" short server case or should i just get the minisforum ms-a2? budget? below 1500dollar prefer around 1000 dollar il have no problem using used hardware if its good. //Regards
#minisforum ms-a2 or build a 19" smal rack server? for HA op with many cameras and many entity's.

I was having trouble understanding your question, so I ran it thru my local AI to format it a bit better. Perhaps it will help others that have an answer for you.
As far as an actual answer, I would bet a pre=built that the company could specifically pick components that meet a goal, such as low power or whatever would be the way I go rather than scratch build, but that is me.
@untold lake states:
I’m starting over and want to get a more powerful system without excessive energy draw when it’s not needed. The reason I’m upgrading from my NUC and Raspberry Pi 5 is that I’m running a lot of 4K cameras live streaming (eventually 14-16 cameras) and the latest cameras are a bit slow.
I want to use SFP+ and I won’t be running Home Assistant in a VM; the hardware needs to be fully upported by Home Assistant itself. I’ll be using Z-Wave, so if the devices are mounted in a rack, I’ll extend USB cables for the ZWA-2 or set up a separate Raspberry Pi 5 for Z-Wave. It would be nice if it supported IPMI.
Regarding hardware – should I go with a custom build (motherboard, CPU, RAM, PSU, and a 19” short server case) or should I just consider the MiniForum MS-A2? My budget is below $1500, ideally around $1000. I’m open to using used hardware if it’s in good condition.

yeh my english sucks, so thanks. il already ordered the parts now,
