Default Dashboards - How have you handled yours?

Hi All,

Hope everyone is doing well,

Been a while since I've used home assistant, from what I undertand, the default dashboard still can't be restricted. So I've made a new dash, gone onto the users phone and set there new default, anyway to prevent them from switching it back?

you could take a look at KIOSK MODE on HACS, then disable sidebar and so on.

Kiosk Mode should not be used for security purposes; it's too easy to bypass.
You can remove the auto-generated overview dashboard or set it to Admin Only. Consider setting all other dashboards to Admin Only. (Energy seems to be the only one that can't be set to Admin Only.)

Oh didn't see the option to change the overview one to admin 🤔

It might not be possible with the original Overview dashboard. Mine has long since been removed, but creating a new, blank dashboard will create a new auto-generated dashboard. That subsequently could be set to Admin Only.

Settings > Dashboards > click the dashboard you want to remove > Delete in the bottom left (provided another dashboard is already set as the default.)
