My smart home journey started 16 years ago to try and keep my special needs son (then 3 yrs old) safe. We needed to know if he snuck out of his room at night. Over the years, smart home (and HA specifically) have become my expensive hobby, but we still have a lot of safeguards for my 19 year old. One includes not giving him access to devices he shouldn't use (lights in my bedroom because he'd turn them on at 4am, thermostat, etc.).

He also doesn't have access to the garage door opener.

Today, my wife told me that the garage opened "all by itself". Thanks to HA and its history, I saw that Gavin opened the garage door at 5:56pm. That surprised me since I've gone to great lengths to hide the dashboards and tiles that contain the garage door opener. So I asked him to show me how he did it. This blew my mind. He found the Search entities option on the three dot menu in the top right of the companion app. He can't type well, but used voice to search for the garage door opener. The entity popped up and he opened the garage. mindblown

So... is there any way to hide the Search Entities option or prevent him from interacting with the cover?
