#System pages doesn't load, frontend module cant be fetched

This is not dashboard but rather the UI, but this was the closest channel fit I could find.

I have a persistent issue where system pages fail to load in the UI. Sometimes I can get to a lovelace page, but then when I navigate to for example settings, the page doesn't load at all.

This issue has happened on multiple browsers, including a fresh install of Firefox without any extensions. Also happens both on internal and external url.

If I clear cache, I get to the splash screen but the auth module doesnt load, so I cant log in again.

What I have tried:

  • Cleared cache
  • Multiple browsers
  • Turned off adguard
  • Rebooted in safe mode
  • Downgraded from 2025.8.1 to 2024.7.4
  • ha core rebuild
  • Deleted (?) service worker in browser
  • Manually cleared cache from dev tools -> Application
  • Disabled all custom resources

Seems some more users are having the same issue. I'm at a loss, could anyone help?

This seems to be a recurring console error, but not sure if that is what is causing it.

It's clearly an issue with the install and the fact that the UI is not being served correctly. Not knowing exactly what you have done, I would suggest doing a clean install and then restoring a backup.

IMO, your best source of help is going to be contributing to the Github thread you posted. This board is more intended for the average user with (relatively) simple or general questions. Whatever you've got going on is going to need someone more specialized to look into it.

@royal sleet yeah, don't want to come off as ungrateful, but there seems to be no one there to do it. Maybe I'll need to give it more time.

Nah. You didn't come off as anything like that. Just didn't want you waiting for a resolution when it may not come from this thread. With that said, I want to say I've seen posts similar to yours so you're not the only one experiencing the issue.

Yeah it just feels like my issue won't be picked up by anyone as it is over a week old.

Something is seriously broken and I dont think its on my end. I just did a fresh install and restore from backup, but the issue persists. For example, the UI doesnt show any of my automations.

try the following:

Clear browser cookies & cache → removes outdated auth tokens
Delete all old refresh tokens under Profile → Security
Reinstall the Home Assistant app on mobile → forces new login with fresh tokens
