#OS not updating
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
10.4 is over 2 years old at this point, latest is 16.1.
it seems for some reason its not prompting you to update
on the terminal you can run:
ha os update
if that has issues you could try version specific
ha os update --version 16.1
hopefully that works, if it fails then report back with any errors etc...
Thanks, I'll give that a try
I did the ha os update a few times, and it went step by step further. However, I'm now on 11.5 and get this:
Error: Can't fetch OTA update from https://os-artifacts.home-assistant.io/15.2/haos_generic-x86-64-15.2.raucb: Response payload is not completed: <ContentLengthError: 400, message='Not enough data to satisfy content length header.'>
does the version specific to 16.1 work?
you could try version specific through some intermediate steps too i guess
you could also make a backup and store it along with the encryption key then do a fresh install which would be on latest and then restore the backup?
haven't tried yet. Is it safe? the instance it remote, so breaking it is a minor hassle 🙂
I'm doing a system reboot, and checking if the error persists when I do the ha os update
I reboot seems to have solved it. now I'm a happy camper! Thanks allot for your help Michael. Have a nice weekend!
