Is it correct that the Google Mail integration only has the one entity? That's not right, is it?
Holiday end date is more calendar related than mail.
Is this just for sending email only? I have it doing that.
I'm just trying to get a notification when new gmail arrives.
I have an IMAP alert for when the count changes, but that's kinda janky. Was hoping that a proper GMail integration would give me from and subject details as well. I must be missing something... 🤔

I've read through that, yes. It describes how to set it up and send email. It doesn't mention anything about the entities it provides.
Do I assume then that it DOES provide any other entities except for "Holiday end date"?

The Google Mail integration allows you to connect your Google Mail to Home Assistant. The integration adds an action to allow you to set an email auto-response for when you go on vacation. A notify action is also added, allowing you to draft or send emails in plain text.

It was just more a case of "I want to do GMail related things! Let's add the GMail integration!" ... and then, not understand why it doesn't offer GMail related things. 😂
S'kinda counter intuitive, to the point where I just assumed I'm not using it correctly.

yeah i am playing a bit, I do see your point. i imagine most of the functionality can be gotten by just using imap so no point reinventing the wheel on that one

Though, now that I look... IMAP only has one entity too, and that's a message count.
Is there really no, like... last sender, last subject, or any of those available?
I'm using a change in that to alert me... but that's very limited.

That's what I have right now. But even marking an email unread sets it off... sometimes it's not alerting at all. Maybe the polling is too slow... or something.
