#SMLight SLZB-MR1 in HA

I'm going to connect it via PoE first to look for firmware updates via this guide, just in case:

No dice. Updated the firmware, switched it to USB mode, but still can't get it to show up. Anyone have suggestions? I'm using a Beelink NUC, so I'd expect it to "just work" plugged right into its USB ports.
It also doesn't show up in Home Assistant's Hardware page, only my Z-wave module does.

I’m on ZHA with a combee 2. Been flawless I gotta say. But the lure of forward compatibility draws me to think about Thread, as much as I really don’t see any compelling advantages. So I’m watching this too, as one radio is surly better than two. I’m also not really keen on having IPv6 floating on my LAN, assuming that’s how a border router works, so a direct connection (ie USB) would be preferred.
You likely need to manually trigger the migration and manually enter the socket://ip:port for the new radio in the flow and specify radio type.
