#Upstream device -- weird issue

So, I've got 3 appliances on 1 circuit - 2 of them have their own metered sockets.
On the circuit breaker board, I've added a meter and configured the 2 appliances's sockets as "Upstream of the CommonCircuit" meter.

Problem is.... the CommonCircuit meter displays on the graphs as much as the combined total of the 2 "downstream" devices, instead of (what I expected) to be 0 because the 3rd device (the one that doesn't have a metered socket) is off.

So.... Is this the expected behavior, or ?

This is correct. HA displays what you give it. If you want your 3rd device in the dashboard, you have to create a template sensor for it and add that

so, from the total consumption of the sensor - to remove the 2 downstream devices and add what's left as the 3rd device

That shouldn't be necessary

#

Only the device overview shows the total consumption

The bar graphs do subtraction

the bar graphs do subtraction but they're the ones showing incorrectly imho

Why?
